The camp of Bongbong Marcos has trumpeted the presidential bet's lead in the ongoing beverrage-based survey of popular convenience store chain 7-Eleven.

Also known as the "SpeakCUP" campaign, the latest tally of the survey posted on the company's website on March 20 showed UniTeam presidential candidate Marcos garnering 44 percent of the votes.
Opposition leader, Vice President Leni Robredo was a distant second with 27 percent.
"More and more Pinoys are drinking up to show their support for the candidacy of presidential frontrunner Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. as he tops 7-Eleven's SpeakCUP presidential survey's latest tally¡" a statement from the Marcos camp said Tuesday, March 22.
Customers of 7-Eleven "cast their votes" so to speak by purchasing specials cups bearing the face of their presidential bet of choice whenever they get drinks from the beverage dispenser. There's even a blank cup for undecided voters.
The SpeakCUP survey results also showed Marcos way ahead of the other presidential contenders in major regions such as Metro Manila, where the UniTeam members garnered 40 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, he received 49 percent in Northern Luzon, 41 percent in South Luzon, 42 percent in the Visayas, and 53 percent in Mindanao.
The "unofficial" pre-election survey will run from March 09 to April 27, 2022. According to 7-Eleven, the survey is "unscientific, unofficial, and done in the spirit of fun".
The is the third time that the company did such gimmick for a presidential race.
