Navotas City Mayor led the inauguration and blessing of the 11 public school buildings in the city on Tuesday, March 22.
“Our students have been studying at home for two school years now and we know they are excited to come back and physically attend their classes. We want them to be comfortable and safe while in school,” Mayor Tiangco said.
The 11 four-storey buildings have a total of 128 classrooms.
The Tanza National High School, San Roque National High School, San Rafael Technological and Vocational High School, and Navotas Elementary School–Central now have an additional four-story building each with 12 classrooms.
San Roque and San Rafael Village Elementary Schools have another building with eight classrooms, while Kapitbahayan Elementary School has 24 additional classrooms.
Meanwhile, Tangos National High School and Tangos Elementary School 1 both have two four-story buildings each with a total of 20 new classrooms.
In 2021, Navotas bagged the Seal of Good Education Governance for its efforts to promote continuous learning.
