ECHO star jungler Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno is back to his top form as he notched his third career savage in ECHO’s 2-0 rout of Omega Esports on Sunday, March 20.

Karltzy’s signature Lancelot is also back in the spotlight after he ran wild with it in the final moments of their Game 2 win.
With Omega scrambling to defend its base against ECHO’s Lord push, Karltzy put on the finishing touches in the match as he scored the five-man wipe to cap the dominant bounce-back game after ECHO lost to Bren Esports on Saturday.
“'Di ko na rin po napansin (savage) sobrang focus ko na rin sa game 'di ko na masyadong nakikita, parang in the zone na ako na hero lang talaga basta mapatay ko sila,” said Karltzy who scored all of his career savage using the hero Lancelot.
He first achieved the feat during Season 6 in Game 1 of their match against the then-rookie team Nexplay Solid.
He would end up repeating it in a much grandeur stage when he dashed his way to the only savage in the M2 World Championship which he did against Japanese team 10s Frost Gaming during the group stage.
However, since the M2 champioship, Karltzy’s performance spiraled down along with the fall of his former team Bren Esports in Seasons 7 and 8. Now with ECHO, the M2 MVP is finally getting his peak form back.
Karltzy wound up with series-high 13 kills and nine assists against a lone death in the series clinching game – something that didn’t surprise ECHO coach Michael Angelo “Arcadia” Bocado who revealed Karltzy’s high kill output has been a usual scene during the squad scrimmages.
“Sa mga scrims talaga madalas rin makakuha ng high kill sa isang game and talagang sanay sya sa mga ganung klaseng playstyle, minsan makikita mo na lang si Karl biglang in the zone na sya,” he added.
Arcadia also cited the team’s loss to Bren Esports as a motivation to perform better against Omega. Accroding to the champion coach, the loss served as a wake-up call for the squad.
“I think good for us din para nalalaman namin kung ano yung dapat naming iadjust sa pagkatalo namin sa Onic sa pagkatalo namin sa Bren an uy pwede palang ganto. Siguro blessing in disguise sya for us,” he explained.
With the sweep, ECHO regained the top spot of the standings with 21 points on the board on a 7-2 win-loss record.
“’Di namin goal na ‘di matalo buong regular season actually gusto nga namin matalo sometime para matuto ka. Ang goal talaga namin is mag Top 1.
