PDEA seizes 5 kilos of dried marijuana leaves in Bulacan buy-bust

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan Provincial Office seized five kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth P600,000 on Saturday, March 19 in a buy-bust operation in San Jose Delmonte, Bulacan.

PDEA agents identified the suspect as John Gabriel Gayo, 27, of Block 60, Lot 24 Barangay Sto. Sto Niño 1 San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Based on its records, PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office noted that Gayo is one of the major distributors of marijuana in San Jose Del Monte and adjacent areas of Bulacan.

Aside from the dried marijuana leaves, authorities also confiscated the boodle money used in the drug sting.

Gayo faces charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
