Female cops initiate women empowerment of PDLs in Abra

BANGUED, Abra -- As part of the 2022 National Women’s Month celebration, female police officers of Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) on Thursday conducted a women empowerment program for female Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) of Abra Provincial Jail.

A total of 16 female PDLs were made to attend the simple program which included lectures on Women Empowerment, Gender Sensitivity, and Republic Act A 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act.

The program was highlighted with a gift-giving, parlor games which were participated by both the police officers and the PDLs, and a dance number prepared by Abra PPO for the PDLs.

Col. Maly Cula, acting provincial director commended the participating female police officers for their noble act of initiating the said program.
