SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan - PROMDI presidential candidate Senator Manny Pacquiao barnstormed three key cities in this vote-rich province Wednesday, March 2 and was welcomed by huge crowds in each one of them.

Local officials led their respective constituents in giving Pacquiao and his team a warm welcome. The huge crowds who waited for the boxing icon’s arrival served as a strong argument in rejecting claims that Pangasinan had already committed its support to other presidential candidates.
Team Pacquiao’s first campaign stop was in the coastal town of Alaminos under Mayor Simplicio Rosario. The city mayor and his officials had invited Pacquiao as their guest of honor during the inauguration of the Alaminos Evacuation Center.

Also the PDP-Laban (Pimentel wing) presidential bet, Pacquiao, together with his wife, Jinky, witnessed the State of the Municipality Address delivered by Rosario.
The next stop was Lingayen City where the Mindanaoan senator and his team were met by Vice Mayor Judy Vargas and members of the municipal council. They accompanied Pacquiao in a tour around the public market.
Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, who attended the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) general assembly meeting in Pasay City, later held a video conference meeting with the senator.
The last stop was vote-rich San Carlos City, where Pacquiao was received by Vice Mayor Joseres Resuello.
Pacquiao lauded Resuello and his brother, Mayor Julier Resuello, for the good governance record accomplished under their watch as city executives.
He also congratulated them for being able to restore peace and order in the city following the death of their father, Mayor Jolly Resuello, who was murdered a few days before his reelection in 2007.
