The prayer, which is available in English and Filipino, was released by the diocese in their Facebook page Wednesday, March 2.

The prayer is as follows:

"Almighty Father, we adore You.

We ask you to bestow comfort to our brothers and sisters suffering from war in Ukraine. we are one with them united in prayer. We humbly ask You to protect our brothers and sisters who are in the middle of this crisis.

In this time of trial and difficulty in their nation, We believe that You are always with us, ever present here in our midsts.

As one family, we lift up to You our petitions and prayers for peace through our Lord Jesus Christ, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen."

The said prayer will be prayed on March 2 but can also be prayed everyday until the crisis in Ukraine eases.

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) earlier joined Pope Francis’ call for fasting and prayer for an end to war in Ukraine.
