BACOLOD CITY - Two motorcycle riders died after hitting an electrical post in Barangay Sagua Banua, Valladolid, Negros Occidental on Monday, Feb. 28.
The victims were identified as Edsel Hilario, 30, and his companion, Adrian Sales, 23, both residents of Pulupandan town.

Maj. Wilfredo Benoman, Valladolid town police chief, said Hilario, who was driving the motorcycle was believed to be speeding, considering the severe injuries they sustained.
Benoman said they have no idea if the victims were under the influence of liquor.
Both were also not wearing helmets, he added.
The accident happened on the curve part of the road, Benoman said.
