Moira dela Torre responds, says no truth to rumors

Kapamilya singer Moira dela Torre denied rumors that she was paid P5 million to perform at the Leni-Kiko campaign sortie in Zamboanga City recently.

“Hindi po kami bayad. Nag-volunteer lang din po kami," said Moira in an earlier response to a netizen's comment on social media.

Moira made another comment in a separate post.

She described the online article in the Manila Bulletin as clickbait.

“Baka kayo po yung bayad para sa mga headline niyo pong nagcclickbait ng ganyan. di po yan maganda, MANILA BULLETIN,” the singer also said.

She added: “Hehe Kaya niyo naman po gamitin yung platform niyo sa mga mas importanteng bagay na hinde base sa mga ‘online marites.’ God bless po."

Aside from Moira, other celebrities who performed in the campaign sorties for Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Kiko Pangilinan include Sharon Cuneta, Rivermaya, Kyla, Kuh Ledesma, Curtismith, Mayonnaise, Gracenote, Tippy Dos Santos, Gab Valenciano, Janina Vela, The Company, DJ Joey, and Kay Leni Tayo singers Jeli Mateo, Justine Pena, and Nica del Rosario.

Topnotch actors Edu Manzano, Joel Torre, Ronnie Lazaro, Nikki Valdez and Agot Isidro, and showbiz personality Ogie Diaz, with his YT channel co-hosts Mama Loi and Dyosa Pockoh, have also expressed support for Leni and Kiko, and the rest of their slate.
