'Family Feud' is a dream come true - Dingdong Dantes

Published Mar 19, 2022 07:56 pm

GMA Network's top talent Dingdong Dantes admits that he is a big fan of the international game show  franchise Family Feud. That's why he considers it serendipity or a happy coincidence to be chosen as the host and Game Master twice in FF's history in the Philippines.

The first time was when he subbed for Richard Gomez in 2009-2010 and the second is in the show's comeback which will be airing every 5.45 on weekdays starting March 21 on the Kapuso channel.

"Hosting Family Feud is something different because for the longest time, I have been doing drama and soap operas. I feel very much at home in this game show, it doesn't feel like work at all. I enjoy every episode," Dindong pointed out during the show's mediacon.

The actor's followers currently see him in the informative series Ámazing Earth' where he discusses serious issues plaguing the planet. But in Family feud, fans will be able to see a very cool and relaxed Dingdong. He considers it his job as the host to make the contestants feel at home. He will even be seen dancing, something which he did when he was just starting out in show business.

"People will see who I am behind the camera at kung paano ako sa bahay. Yung stage, parang bahay ko lang. Ini-imagine ko lang na palaging may Christmas party sa bahay," he enthused.

He added that the best thing is that he will get to know eight individual contestants in every episode, representing four families. He said he expects to "learn a lot from the energy and information" he will get from all the participants.
Dingdong remarked that there are many things to look forward to in Family Feud. For one, the stage itself is very impressive with state-of-the-art lighting. Then, there are the big prizes at stake which amounts to P300,000 daily.

Even viewers participating in the show at home get the chance to win as much as half a million pesos weekly.

"We have big shoes to fill because Family Feud is so famous all over the world but at the same time we made it a point that the show is very Pinoy. We made the questions very relatable and based on the questions, walang hindi mo pwedeng masagot as a Filipino," Dingdong noted.

The battle is on once more for two families of four as they try to outsmart each other in guessing the most popular answers to survey questions. The winning team will take home P100,000 plus another P100,000 if they win in the jackpot round. Meanwhile, the losing team will receive P50,000.

Viewers will also get a chance to win cash prizes while watching and enjoying the show in the comforts of their homes with the ‘Guess To Win’ promo.

All Filipinos aged 18 years old and above and currently residing in the country are allowed to join. Participants must watch Family Feud and wait for any of the three questions that will be flashed on the screen. All entries must be submitted to the website www.gmanetwork.com/FamilyFeudGuessToWin.

Deadline for submission of entries is during the airing of the show only. All entries submitted are qualified for the electronic raffle. There will be five winners of P20,000 each per episode, for a total of 25 winners per week to be drawn. Weekly winners will be posted on the program’s social media accounts.
