Twitter releases special emoji for Comelec's Pilipinas Debates 2022

For promotional purposes, social networking site Twitter will release a special emoji for Pilipinas Debates 2022, Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesman James Jimenez said on Friday, March 18.

"Naglabas sila ng special emoji para sa lahat ng gagamit ng #PiliPinasDebates2022 (They released a special emoji for all those who will use #PiliPinasDebates2022)," Jimenez told reporters during a walkthrough at Sofitel Hotel where the Comelec debates will be conducted.

"Katulad ng kanilang participation nung 2016 kung saan naglabas din sila ng special emoji for the debates (Like their participation in 2016 wherein they released a special emoji for the debates)," he added.

The Pilipinas Debates will kick off on Saturday, March 19, starting off with presidential candidates' debates at Sofitel Tent in Pasay City.

So far, all presidential bets have expressed their commitment to participate in the debates except for former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Confirmed to attend are Ernesto Abella, Leody de Guzman, Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, Norberto Gonzales, Panfilo Lacson, Emmanuel Pacquiao, Faisal Mangondato, Jose Montemayor Jr., and Vice President Leni Robredo.

All channels will air Pilipinas Debates 2022. Jimenez said on Twitter that GMA will air it on DepEd TV. Will stream simultaneously on Comelec’s social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
