ISABELA – A teacher who is also into online-selling was arrested by the authorities for multiple theft cases in Cauayan City, Isabela .
Isabela Provincial Field Unit-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PFU-CIDG), Regional Field Unit (RFU) and Cauayan City Police Station arrested Rlynn Marchan, 33, and resident of Brgy. San Lorenzo Marabulig, on an arrest warrant issued by Hon. Karen Matti Sy, Presiding Judge, National Capital Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 145, Makati City on February 15 this year.
Marchan is facing 89 counts of Qualified Theft in relation to R.A. 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 .
A bail of P120,000.00 each of the 83 counts of theft and P90,000.00 each on an additional 6 counts has been recommended.
And in all of the 89 cases, her bail is about P10.5 million according to Isabela Police.
According to the Cauayan PNP's preliminary investigation, the company where the suspect used to work in Makati has filed a case against her.
Authorities are still investigating how much Marchan allegedly stole from the said company.
The suspect, who is currently detained at the Cauayan City police station, denied the allegations.
