Moira dela Torre paid P5M to perform at Leni-Kiko rally?

Talk has it that singer Moira dela Torre was among celebrities that earned a huge sum recently.

This, supposedly after performing at a sortie for presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate vice presidential candidate Senator Kiko Pangilinan in Zamboanga.

Supposedly, Moira was paid a whooping P5 million for it.

The source?

An online marites.

The accusation triggered Moira.

She maintained: “Hindi po kami bayad. Nag-volunteer lang din po kami.”

The netizen didn't bother to reply.

Not long ago, talk about performers earning millions simply making an appearance at rallies surfaced.

Talent manager Ogie Diaz refuted this.

He wrote in a social media post, “Di naman masyadong true ito...Hindi naman lahat ng celebrities, nagpapabayad o pera-pera lang.”

He attested, “Me mga celebrities, pro bono o libre lang basta kaibigan o kamag-anak nila yung kandidato o kahit hindi nila kaanu-ano, basta naniniwala sila sa ipinaglalaban nito, hindi pinag-uusapan ang magkano. Kung minsan, dumudukot pa ang mga celebrities sa mga sarili nilang bulsa, dahil walang pondo ang kandidato nila, pero naniniwala sila sa kakayahan at sinseridad nito sa mga tao.”
