All is set for the Pilipinas Debates 2022 of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

The Pilipinas Debates will kick off on Saturday, March 19, with the presidential debate at Sofitel Tent in Pasay City.
All presidential bets have committed to participate in the debates except for former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Confirmed to attend are Ernesto Abella, Leody de Guzman, Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, Norberto Gonzales, Panfilo Lacson, Emmanuel Pacquiao, Faisal Mangondato, Jose Montemayor Jr., and Vice President Leni Robredo.
On Thursday, Comelec Commissioner George Garcia urged the public to get to know the candidates in the May polls by watching the debates.
"We have to know our candidates. This is our contribution in at least ensuring that the voters are fully aware of who they are voting for, of their qualifications, of their positions," he said in a press briefing.
"We will ensure that we will be able to do it impartially, fairly, at the same equal opportunity for everyone to talk to the voters," he added.
The Comelec will also hold Vice-Presidential Debates on March 20. There will also be a second Presidential Debates on April 3.
The Presidential and Vice Presidential Town Hall Debates will be held on April 23 and 24, respectively.
The debates may be viewed at Comelec's social media channels, such as Facebook, and YouTube. It will also air in all local channels.
