Kit Thompson allegedly detained, injured girlfriend Ana Jalandoni in Tagaytay City

Police rescued actress Ana Jalandoni after she was allegedly detained and injured by her boyfriend Kit Thompson at a hotel in Tagaytay City.

In a tweet, Nico Baua of ABS-CBN News said: "Authorities were alerted after Jalandoni pleaded for help from her friends and sent a picture of herself. She was allegedly detained and injured by her boyfriend, actor, Kit Thompson."

ABS-CBN News said that Kit has been taken to the police station for questioning.

Ana was rushed to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Cornerstone, the management of Thompson, issued a statement in relation to the incident. It read:

"We have just been informed that one of our artists, Mr. Kit Thompson, was allegedly involved in an incident that transpired last night in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

"As we have yet to receive a formal report regarding the alleged incident, we could not give a response nor comment on the matter.

"However, we request the public to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online," the statement read.
