New composition of Comelec Divisions announced

Newly appointed Commissioner George Garcia is now part of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second Division.

Garcia will join Commissioners Marlon Casquejo (presiding) and Rey Bulay (member).

Commissioner Aimee Neri, on the other hand, will be part of the First Division which is composed of Commissioners Socorro Inting (presiding), and Aimee Ferolino (member).

Garcia announced the new composition of Comelec Divisions Thursday, March 17, a day after their en banc.

Malacanang on March 8 confirmed the appointments of Saidamen Pangarungan as Comelec chairman, Neri and Garcia as commissioners.

The three formally assumed their posts March 9.
