Limitlesss targets fourth 3x3 leg title

Limitless will face lighter opponents to start its quest for another successful title run in the fourth leg of the PBA 3x3 second conference slated Saturday, March 19 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Appmasters were placed in Pool A with Leg 2 champion San Miguel Beermen, Cavitex Braves, Master Sardines Fishing Champs and NorthPort Batang Pier based on the rankings of last weekend’s competition.

Brandon Rosser, Jorey Napoles, Marvin Hayes and Reymar Caduyac conspired to give the first conference champions their third leg crown since the PBA’s halfcourt competition began last November.

That put Limitless on top of the overall standings with 230 tour points as the second conference enters the latter part of the leg phase.

First leg titlist TNT, which settled for runner-up honors and is five points behind Limitless in the overall standings, will be in Pool B alongside Sista, Pioneer and Platinum Karaoke.

Leg 3 third placer Meralco is joined by Terrafirma, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Purefoods in Pool C.

Meralco sits third in the overall table with 200 points, followed by San Miguel with 185 while Ginebra fell to fourth at 170 after an early exit in the third leg due to the absence of injured players Encho Serrano and Jayson David.

Rounding out the standings are Sista (108), Pioneer (107), Platinum (106), Terrafirma (90), Purefoods (88), Cavitex (81), NorthPort (50) and Master Sardines (40).
