Cool Smashers rout Power Hitters

Creamline blasted PLDT Home Fibr, 25-16, 25-18, 25-22, to join the winner’s circle in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Tots Carlos and Alyssa Valdez teamed up with 16 and 13 points for the Cool Smashers, who needed an hour and 23 minutes to dispose of the Power Hitters.

Carlos and Valdez also torched the net with a combined 24 kills.

Jema Galanza also stepped up for the Cool Smashers with 10 points while Jia De Guzman converted 22 excellent sets on top of three points.

PLDT struggled with its plays as none from the squad scored in double figures.

The Power Hitters also couldn’t deliver offensively by hitting only 22 attacks compared to the Cool Smashers’ 38 with veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan managing only seven excellent sets.
