The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will be expediting the resolution of all pending cases.

"We agreed to expedite all pending petitions in the En banc and in the divisions," Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan said in a press briefing Thursday, March 17.
He said this include petitions for exemption.
"The pending petitions for exemption on fund releases, we will expedite them, particularly those for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DOH) because they are necessary due to the pandemic," said Pangarungan.
The poll body was also asked to give an update on the Salandanan petition against presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr which is still pending before the Comelec Second Division.
"Personally, I don't really know to who it was raffled or the designated ponente," Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said.
