The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday, March 17, said only 105,000 and not five million ballots were found to be defective.

"How many were found defective so far from the (initially declared) 5,288,268? It is 105,350 ballots," Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said in a press briefing in Manila.
He said when they verified the 5,288,268, they found out that 3,344,333 are "good ballots."
Garcia added that 1,943,935 are
still undergoing reverification.
"The ballots undergo the highest quality control...Dumadaan iyan sa pinakamataas ng quality control...all undergo the so-called reverification," he said.
The Comelec is printing 67,442,616 ballots for the May 2022 polls.
