The world of professional wrestling is mourning the loss of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall, who died after suffering three heart attacks last March 14.
WWE confirmed the passing of the former intercontinental champion and founding member of the famed New World Order stable.
Pro wrestling websites said Hall was hospitalized after breaking his hip and the subsequent heart attacks placed him on life support.
Hall was famously known as Razor Ramon in the then-World Wrestling Federation, portraying a Cuban-American character based in Miami. He would win the intercontinental title four times.
He also became part of one of the greatest matches in the federation’s history when Razor Ramon beat Shawn Michaels in a ladder match at Wrestlemania X to claim the intercontinental belt.
Both Hall and Kevin Nash, who was known as Diesel, left the WWF in 1996 to join World Championship Wrestling, with the two portraying the character of being outsiders.
Soon, the two were joined by Hulk Hogan after the fan favorite turned heel at the WCW Bash at the Beach pay-per-view, thus forming the nWo stable that sparked one of the golden eras in wrestling.
Hall along with Hogan and Nash returned to the WWF in 2002, but was soon released due to substance abuse.
He eventually turned his life around with help from fellow ex-WCW wrestler Diamond Dallas Page and was inducted twice in the WWE Hall of Fame, first with his Razor Ramon character in 2014 and as part of the nWo in 2020.
