Ricci Rivero defends Sharlene San Pedro amid his rumored relationship with Andrea Brillantes

Athlete-turned-actor Ricci Rivero was actress-singer Sharlene San Pedro's knight in shining armor recently.

On Twitter, the 23-year-old basketball player shielded the former child star from bashers.

He wrote: "Shar’s not doing anything to people hating on her or tagging her things that she’s not part of so please wag niyo siya idamay!"

Ricci's post came after separate photos of him and young star Andrea Brillantes with a fan circulated online.

Note that many believe the two were together when the pictures were taken.

Adding fuel to the fire is a video of Andrea wearing a jersey.

Netizens claim it is Ricci’s uniform.

It also didn’t help that both stars captioned their photos similarly last month.

Meanwhile, Sharlene replied to Ricci's tweet, writing: "gagalit niyo, kuya cci!."

The latter then re-tweeted it, adding: "dami kasi gusto maki chismis eh pati walang kinalaman dinadamay."

Ricci also re-posted Sharlene's message that read: "hayaan niyo lang kung sino ang gusto naming mahalin. bakit na g na g kayo sa mga buhay ng may buhay... (relieved face emoji)."

Note that Sharlene and Ricci Rivero worked together prior via the film "Happy Times."

In there, the latter played the former's love interest.
