Rey 'PJ' Abellana backtracks on 'one night stand' statement relating to Tom-Carla issue

Rey 'PJ' Abellana is now refuting an earlier statement he made concerning the ongoing spat involving his daughter Carla Abellana and her husband Tom Rodriguez.

Where prior he said the issue stemmed from Tom getting involved in a "one night stand," Rey told "24 Oras," "wala naman din pong katotohanan po ito at naiwasan naman din niya na mangyari 'yon."

"Wala pong natuloy na one night stand, according to Tom's side," he added.

But why insist on it in the first place?

Rey explained, "Napa-short cut lang po, napa-abrupt lang po pagkasabi ko kay Nanay Cristy (Fermin) na napag-isipan nang masama."

Then again, he also revealed Carla getting angry at him for issuing the statement.

"She was mad, she was questioning me why I came up (with the statement) that way. Of course, I explained it to her right away and after my explanation, explaining my side, hindi na naman din siya nag-message uli."

His advice for the two?

"Importante na may communication silang dalawa, i-workout na nila 'yan, so much the better na ma-normalize na uli sila at maipatuloy na nila 'yung buhay mag-asawa nila," Rey shared.

Carla and Tom are still silent about the issue.
