Sporty new model for those that aim higher
MG Philippines, distributed by The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), adds another model to their growing roster of vehicles, the MG HS. The MG HS SUV offers premium features and style, a plush and comfortable ride, and fine driving dynamics, for a very attainable price point.
What’s most distinctive about the HS is its stunning design. It boasts of swooping body lines and an athletic stance to give it a sporty profile. The front is made to stand out with MG’s signature Stardust Grille. It’s flanked by Nine-Crystal Lighting units and powerful LED headlights on either side. They come with sequential turn light functionality (also in the rear). Along the side, the HS sports 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which are standard across the model range.
Inside, the new HS offers a uniquely sporty interior. It starts with sport bucket seats that comfortably hug the body, with six-way power adjustment. It also comes with a sporty sculpted steering wheel giving the driver better grip.
The dashboard is a 12.3-inch Virtual Driver Information Center that combines all vital info in a digital display. It’s complemented by a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center which comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and multimedia functionality.
For the other passengers, the HS also features a large panoramic Stargazer Sunroof for clear views and airing out the cabin. The HS is also equipped with a unique, adjustable ambient lighting system that allows users to change the cabin’s interior lighting color to suit your mood.
Powering it is a 1.5-liter inline-four DOHC turbocharged petrol engine. It’s paired with a seven-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Transmission to produces 169-PS and 250-NM of torque. The HS also comes with a proprietary “Sport Mode” button right on the wheel that allows for crisper steering and throttle response.
It is also equipped with modern driver aids such as a Blind Spot Detection System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, EPS 3-mode Adjustable Steering, push start-stop functionality, and an electronic parking brake with autohold.
The MG HS can be appreciated in all 39 MG Philippines dealerships nationwide. Buyers can place reservations at MG dealerships or online at BuyAnMG.com. Until April 31, 2022, the MG HS will be available with an introductory cash price of P1,158,888.00 for the MG HS SUV Alpha variant, and P1,208,888.00 for the Trophy variant.
After April, the HS will be priced at P1,258,888.00 for the HS Alpha 1.5T, and P1,308,888.00 for the HS Trophy 1.5T.
Each MG vehicle comes with a five-year or 100,000-km warranty (whichever comes first), and MG HERO Services which provides 24/7 roadside support through the MG Philippines hotline. MG owners can also download the My MG mobile app to easily schedule vehicle service appointments from the convenience of their smartphones. They can also use the app to book a visit from a Mobile Garage service caravan that provides MG owners with vehicle home service for major technical issues.
