Mariel Rodriguez warns online buyers against scammer

"Evil is around... do not be a scammer's victim!!!!!"

This is the warning issued by Mariel Rodriguez getting wind of a scammer using her name to dupe followers of their hard-earned cash.

It came following her effort to try online selling , Tuesday.

Mariel also shared details.

"To all my precious miners from last night's live selling, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SENDING ANY PAYMENT to anyone who contacts you that isn't from Viber or WhatsApp from the number: 0938506000," it read.

According to her, all of their transactions are done only through the said mobile number.

"So please disregard any message that claims to be part of the live selling team as it most likely a fraudulent scheme," they warned. "Love you guys! BE VIGILANT!"

Mariel also asked her fans' help to report the said account.

"Scammer!!!!!! Scammer!!! Do not communicate with this person!!!! This is not us!!!!!," she reiterated.

"I have nothing to do with this account!!!!! Only 0938506000 will talk to you on my behalf."
