PANGASINAN – The Department of Tourism Region 1 with the Pangasinan Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) continued to conduct an assessment and validation of potential adventure and nature-based tourism sites in Pangasinan.

DOT said this series of activities is in line with the development of the Pangasinan Tourism Circuits in preparation for the new normal. The move is meant to come up with a comprehensive guide to invite more visitors and offer them more options for destinations to visit.
Also included in the DOT assessment were the local products that will be made available for local and foreign visitors while adhering to the health and safety guidelines and protocols under the New Normal.
This initiative of the regional office serves as a response to the pandemic.
The Local Government Units through their respective tourism officers assisted in the validation and visited the following tourists spots and their locations: Pangasinan the Bangrin Mangrove Farm (Marine Protected Area), Abesamis Salt Farm and Nalsoc Cave in Bani; Gallali IZW Farm Products; Reyes Atipen Dragon Fruit Farm and Pao Beach in Burgos town.
DOT also visited Sual, Pangasinan where Villa Mida River View, Matico Falls, Amara Hills and Montemayor Beach Resort are located, as well as Labrador town where the Tinakayanan Falls, and Uyong Beach are located.
In Umingan, Pangasinan, the Viewtiful Deck Nature Park were also visited.
