Debuting F2 Logistics recovered from a third-set hiccup and edged Black Mamba Army, 25-15, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, to jumpstart its title campaign Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.
The Cargo Movers had to dig deep in the fourth set to regain their composure and claim their first win in the league.
Kim Dy paced F2 Logistics with 20 points including a crosscourt spike that sealed the win.
The former De La Salle standout built her performance with 15 attacks, four blocks and one ace.
Dy admitted the team had a slow start despite dominating the Army in the first two sets.
“We’re really excited that we get to play and compete again pero nakita naman kanina na we need a lot of adjustments on our plays, so we’ll see in our next matches,” Dy said.
The Cargo Movers lost their steam in the third frame after the Troopers reinforced their floor defense.
Black Mamba continued to pace the game in the fourth with F2 needing two match points before claiming the victory.
