Car kills biker, hurts pal in Pasay City

A 23-year-old biker died while his companion was injured after being hit by a car while they were taking a rest on a roadside in Pasay City Wednesday morning.

Police said the fatality identified as John Paolo Santos, a resident of Mandaluyong City, died on the spot while his unidentified companion was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.

Clark Magdales Malasaga, 18, student, driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was arrested by the police.

According to the police report, the victims were resting on the sidewalk at the corner of Seaside Road and Bayshore at SM MOA Complex in Pasay at about 8 a.m. when they were accidentally hit by a Toyota Grandia (NAN-7253) driven by Malasaga.
