Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that seven of the 16 barangays in the city had zero Covid-19 cases on March 14.
Olivarez said that of the remaining villages with active cases, Barangay Tambo has the highest number with still 11 patients.
The mayor told the residents not to be complacent because in just one day the city government recorded six new additional cases, bringing the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the city to 32.
Olivarez said the city government is now working on the economic recovery, but the strict implantation of the PDITR (prevent-detect-isolate-treat and reintegration) plus the vaccination must continue to rid the city of Covid-19.
He also advised the residents to continue wearing face masks and observing the physical distancing, and get vaccinated for their protection against the virus.
