20 QCPD policewomen cited for exemplary service


Around 20 policewomen of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) received certificates of commendation during the celebration of the Women’s Month on Monday, March 14.

During a program at the district’s headquarters in Camp Karingal, the female cops were recognized for their exemplary service and dedication to strengthen the police force of Quezon City.

Mayor Joy Belmonte and Police Brig. Gen. Remus Medina, QCPD director, were present during the celebration.

Belmonte thanked the city police for their response and coordination with the city’s programs for the security of women and children.

The QCPD also expressed gratitude to the local government for all the assistance it provided including the various equipment and patrol cars.

As part of the celebration, QCPD K-9 unit dogs showed their skills in locating illegal drugs and explosives.
