P27M worth of shabu seized in Lanao del Norte drug bust

Government anti-narcotics agents seized on Sunday, March 13, some P27 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a suspect in an anti-drug operation in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.

In a statement, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the arrested suspect, Arnel Magno whom they described as a top priority person of interest in Davao del Sur

Magno was arrested during a PDEA operation in Purok 32 Barangay Maria Cristina where he yielded more or less four kilograms of shabu.

Asuncion is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’

The anti-drug operation was carried out by the composite teams of the PDEA Regional Office 10 (RO-10) Misamis Oriental Provincial Office, PDEA RO-10 Lanao del Norte Provincial Office, PDEA RO-10 Regional Special Enforcement Team, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
