Medical volunteer dies in Tondo motorcycle crash

A medical volunteer died after the motorcycle she was driving crashed into an electrical post along Delpan flyover in Tondo, Manila at 2 a.m. on Monday, March 14.

Staff Sgt. Neil Mark Mabasa, investigator of Manila Police Traffic Enforcement Section, identified the victim as Ellain Ramos, 29, a resident of Tondo.

Based on the initial report of Manila Police District Station 12, the victim and her eight-year-old companion were traversing the Del Pan flyover when she lost control of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle hit a lamp post, causing the victim and the child to fall on the road.

They were rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center where Ramos succumbed to body injuries at 3:49 a.m., police said.

The child sustained only minor injuries.
