Four arrested, P3.3M worth of shabu seized in Bacolod buy-bust operations
BACOLOD CITY – Authorities seized an estimated P3,338,800 worth of suspected shabu over the weekend in different buy-bust operations that also resulted into the arrest of four individuals.

The biggest catch happened in Barangay Singcang-Airport on Saturday where 30-year-old Joey Piestaño, who allegedly yielded about 450 grams of suspected shabu worth P3,060,000, was arrested.
Maj. Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said that raiders found Chinese tea bag packaging believed to be used for repacking inside Piestaño’s house during the operation.
In 2018, Piestaño was jailed for a drug offense, but was released the following year through plea bargaining, according to Puerto.
Puerto said that Piestaño’s arrest came after three drug suspects who were previously arrested by the police tagged him as their alleged source here.
Puerto believed that Piestaño was allegedly able to build his network while he was inside the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
Puerto said they are probing if he had links to any drug group here.
Subsequent operations on Sunday led to the arrest of Mark Arevalo, 21, and Jeremy Booc, 20, both residents of Barangay 2 here.
Police seized 41 grams of suspected shabu worth P278,800 from them. The two suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
Last Friday, Joebert Carian, 41, was also arrested in Barangay Tangub here for possession of about 81 grams of shabu worth P550,800.
The four arrested individuals have yet to be reached for comment.
