Yuka Saso matches 18-hole record, finishes 12th in Honda LPGA Thailand

Yuka Saso matched the 18-hole scoring record with an explosive 10-under-par 62 to finish tied at 12th place in the Honda LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club in Chonburi Sunday.

Starting at the back nine, the 20-year-old Fil-Japanese torched the Pattaya Old Course with a bogey-free round aided by an eagle 2 on the 15th hole and eight birdies.

She propelled from a share of 34th to a seven-way tie for 12th with a four-round total of 269 following earlier rounds of 68, 70 and 69.

She was 10 strokes behind the regulation finishes of Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Xiyu Lin.

Madsen eventually clinched the trophy after two playoff holes.
