The tandem of presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo and her runningmate vice presidential candidate Senator Kiko Pangilinan earned the endorsement of another lay group.

In a statement, the diocesan Council of the Laity of Romblon said they believe the two are the best leaders to lead the country in these troubled and challenging times.
"After much prayer and discernment, we, the officers and board members in the Diocesan Council of the Laity, have therefore resolved with confidence that the best leaders to lead our country especially in these troubled and challenging times, being epitomes of and together embody the Catholic values, and the leadership qualities cited above are Vice President Maria Leonor 'Leni' Gerona Robredo and Senator Francis 'Kiko' Pangilinan, who are Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, respectively," the group said.
Among the qualities cited by the group are hardworking, humble servants and incorruptible.
"With this decision born out of prayerful discernment, we call upon and happily endorse to our co-faithful in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Romblon the Honorable Vice President Leni Robredo as our Presidential candidate, and the Honorable Senator Kiko Pangilinan as our Vice Presidential candidate in the May 9, 2022 National and Local Elections," said the group.
The Council of the Laity of the Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay earlier also expressed their support for Robredo and Pangilinan.
The organization believes the candidates “reflect the values and aspirations, dreams and hopes of the people we want to serve."
Other lay organizations in the Archdiocese of Lipa and the apostolic vicariate of Calapan have also expressed their support for Robredo.
