PANGASINAN ---- The return of tourists to the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) and other tourist destinations in Alaminos City has begun as the province transitioned to Alert Level 1 from March 1 to 15.

The City Tourism Office (CTO) here recorded 49,277 tourist arrivals in the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) from January to March 13.
Daily capacity of tourists at the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) has been restored to 100-percent capacity. Vaccination cards and valid IDs are still required for those visiting HINP where the Zipline, banana boat, kayaking, snorkeling are among the available islands activities .
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), in collaboration with national and local government agencies has also started "Operation SumVac 2022" program .
They are making rounds to ensure that everyone still adheres to the minimum public health standards.
The local government, under the leadership of Mayor Arth Bryan C. Celeste, assured orderly, safe, and meaningful visits at HINP and other tourist destinations in the city.

They are ready to welcome you again! Let's see each other there)," Celeste posted in his Facebook page.
The city tourism office here said they were hoping for higher tourist arrivals this year after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) lowered restrictions to Alert Level 1.
Meanwhile, various organizations, including Task Force Isla, Bantay Dagat, the local motorboat association, tour guides, hotel and transient establishment owners, street vendors and tourism staff participated in an awareness program seminar on environmental conservation, preventing sexual harassment, and customer service at the Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center last month.
The purpose of the seminar was to increase knowledge on aspects related to tourism.
It also served as preparation for the ever-increasing number of tourists in the city.
