TNT, Meralco and Limitless won all of their assignments to begin their title bids on a bright note in the third leg of the PBA 3x3 second conference held Saturday, March 12 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Almond Vosotros, Samboy de Leon, Lervin Flores and Chris Javier worked together to give TNT three victories in as many matches in Pool A after the first day of the latest leg of the PBA’s halfcourt competition.

Tonino Gonzaga, Joseph Sedurifa, Alfred Batino and Dexter Maiquez won all of Meralco’s two games in Pool B, so did Brandon Rosser, Marvin Hayes, Reymar Caduyac and Jorey Napoles for Limitless in Pool C.

All three teams will look to sweep pool play when action resumes on Sunday starting at 8 a.m., with the knockout stages to be held starting before lunch time.

TNT is the first team to reach the quarters after outlasting Platinum Karaoke, 21-20, Master Sardines, 22-18, and Terrafirma, 21-20.

The win over Terrafirma saw TNT erase a 20-16 deficit, with Javier scoring a layup, Vosotros hitting a two-point and converting a layup before De Leon made a bank shot with 1:51 to go to seal the deal.

The first leg winner Tropang Giga wrapped up Pool A this morning against the second leg champion San Miguel Beermen, who hold a 2-1 record despite missing Ken Bono due to an injury.

Meralco survived a late comeback by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel sparked by four two-point shots from Jollo Go to win 21-18 before rolling past Cavitex with a 22-10 triumph.

Limitless cruised past Pioneer, 21-6, in a rematch of the third place match in the second leg before prevailing over Sista, 20-13.
