PROMDI Party presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao has once again denied claims that he is backing out of the May 2022 Palace race, describing them as part of a massive disinformation campaign.

"Hindi po totoo iyan (That's not true)," Pacquiao said of the back out claims during a press conference in Bacoor, Cavite on Saturday, March 12.
"Tuloy ang laban ni Manny Pacquiao (Manny Pacquiao will continue his fight)," added the retired boxing icon.
Reports that Pacquiao is dropping out from the presidential race have been disseminated in the social media by pseudo news agencies while thousands of suspected trolls take care of sharing the bogus news to make it viral.
The "fake news" that spread this week was the third such bid to discredit Pacquiao’s presidential candidacy since the election campaign started last Feb. 8, his camp said.
“Kung sino man nagpakalat na mag-back out ako ay baka kayo gusto ninyo mag-back out. Hindi ako (Whoever it is that's saying I should back out, maybe you want to back out yourself, not me)," said the former eight-division boxing champion.
Pacquiao implied that those behind the disinformation drive see him as a threat in their political campaign.“Suportahan niyo na lang ako, magkaisa tayo kasi ang ipinaglalaban ko ay para sa sambayanang Pilipino, para sa mga naghihirap (Support me instead, let's unite because it's the Philippine nation that I'm fighting for),” he stressed.
“Hindi ito parang sa negosyante na sumusuporta dahil may kapalit (This is not like support coming from a businessman, who expects something in return),” said Pacquiao, who is also being supported by the PDP-Laban (Pimentel wing) and several other party-list organizations.
"Pacman" has been barnstorming depressed communities in various parts of the country to bring the message of hope and better life for the poor should he win the elections.
