Gerald “Dlarskie” Trinchera enjoyed the epic Onic Philippines and ECHO showdown to the point that the veteran sidelaner believes that it was the most intense game he had experienced in his MPL career so far.

The highly contested series brought championship air to the venue – something that Dlarskie and jungler Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol also felt especially after a series of heart-stopping clashes between the two squads.

“Ako po feel ko po nun ‘yun na yung pinaka matindi kong laban talaga parang bakbakan talaga sa tinagal-tagal ko sa MPL yun yung favorite kong laban,” said Dlarskie who also admitted that he had to control his emotions during the fiery encounter against the powerhouse ECHO.

Onic PH prevailed in the titanic clash, thanks to a clutch play from Kairi where he managed to peel the HP bars of ECHO heroes using the Deadly Poison Sting skill of his Helcurt during ECHO’s siege for the Onic base in the final moments of the deciding Game 3.

That allowed Onic to survive the push and turn the tides to its favor after Marky “Markyyy” Capacio’s Wanwan and Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales’ Kagura put on the finishing touches with a four-man wipe of ECHO.

“Ang gandang laban siya kasi parang parehong team binibigay lahat, walang kinakabahan kumbaga walang takot mamatay walang takot mag-go, binibigay ng players lahat ng napractice nila,” said Kairi.

Interestingly, Onic has been the league’s streak breakers since Season 8 where it also halted Blacklist International’s historic 11-game winning run. It did the same against ECHO which boasted a 5-0 record heading to the match.

Onic players admitted that facing a top tier squad like ECHO brings the best in them before and during the match.

“Aaminin ko sobrang tamad ko po sa mga rank game, after ng scrim namin practice namin, chill chill lang ako. Parang this week po talagang nag batak po lumabas po yung passion ko sa ML, pinaghandaan ko po talaga itong week na ito,” added Dlarskie.
