The French Embassy in the Philippines and the Alliance Française de Manille have launched preparations for the Francophonie week.
Francophonie refers to men and women who share a common language—French.
Parlez-vous Français
There are an estimated 300 million French speakers across five continents. It has also been an institution dedicated, since 1970, to promoting the French language and political, educational, economic, and cultural cooperation among the 88 member countries of the Organisation internationale of la Francophonie (OIF) or International Organization of La Francophonie.

The embassies of Morocco, Vietnam, Canada, Egypt, Greece, France, Belgium, Cambodia, Laos, Switzerland, Hungary, and Romania and the consulates of Lebanon and Monaco have come together to prepare this cultural festival and celebrate the richness of the French language and cultures. The Week of the Francophonie will take place from March 14 to 20.
