Saso trails leaders by 10 strokes in Honda tourney

Yuka Saso shot a two-under-par 70 to trail co-leaders Nasa Hataoka and Su Oh by 10 strokes after two rounds in the Honda LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club, Old Pattaya Course in Chonburi Friday.

The 20-year-old Fil-Japanese slipped for a share of 37th place with a two-round total of 138 after carding an opening-round 68 Thursday.

Saso appeared in control of her game with birdies on the seventh and 10th, but found herself briefly losing composure with a bogey on the par-4 15th.

She made up with a birdie on the next hole, but still stumbled with another bogey on the 17th before capping off her round with a birdie.

Hataoka and Oh, meanwhile, torched the course with similar 68s to tie atop the leaderboard with a two-round aggregate of 128.

Hataoka remained bogeyless in the tournament by firing seven birdies, while Oh blew hot with six birdies and an eagle 3 on the 18th.
