Seven wanted persons were arrested in a series of operations conducted by the Las Piñas City Police on Wednesday (March 9).
Col. Jaime Santos, Las Pinas Police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Dianna Joy Imperial, 40; Marlyn Pedrigal, 39; Loreto Baranda,37; Rica Jenny Colorico, 27; Merlito Alim,29; Ryan Samuel Gratila, 34; and Fe Olivan,73.
Santos said Imperial was arrested at about 7:45 a.m. at 13 King Fisher, at Phase 9, Gatchalian Subdivision, Manuyo Dos in Las Pinas on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Aida Dacara Coliflores-Romero of Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 91 with a recommended bail of P6,000 for violation of Batas Pambansa 22 (Bouncing Check Law).
Pedrigal, who is facing a estafa case, was nabbed at 36B Saigon St., Barangay Don Bosco, Paranaque City based on an arrest warrant issued by Judge Romero. A P30,000 bail was recommended for her temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, Baranda, who is facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Law), was arrested at about 1:45 p.m. at LA Barbershop on San Nicolas Green Valley in Bacoor, Cavite.
A warrant of arrest was issued against him by Judge Elizabeth Yu-Guray of Las Pinas Regional Trial Court Branch 202 with recommended bail of P80,000.
Colorico, who was the subject of a warrant of arrest for violation of Sec. 22 in relation to Sec. 28 of Republic Act 11199 (Social Security Act of 2018), was apprehended at about 2:40 p.m. at Las Pinas Village, Barangay Pamplona Tres in Las Pinas City.
Judge Redentor Cardena of Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 134 recommended a P24,000 bail for her temporary liberty.
In another operation, members of the Las Pinas Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) arrested Alim for qualified theft at about 3:45 p.m. at 110-A Mangahan Barangay Talon Dos, Las Pinas. Judge Victor Aguba of Las Pinas RTC Branch 225 recommended a P40,000 bail for him.
Gratila was nabbed by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Phoebe Castillo Meer of Las Pinas RTC Branch 275 for violation of the Anti-Carnapping Law at about 4:30 p.m. at Las Pinas City Hall compound.
At about 5:15 p.m. on the same day, Olivan was nabbed in Gatchalian Subdivision, Manuyo, Las Pinas.
She was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Amifaith Fider-Reyes of Las Pinas RTC Branch 253 with P48,000 bail for violation of Republic Act 10175 (Cybercime Prevention Act of 2012).
