Las Piñas City Police honors Mayor Aguilar

In celebration of the International Women’s Month, the Las Pinas City Police led by Col. Jaime Santos honored Mayor Imelda Aguilar by giving her a plaque of recognition and a bouquet of roses on Wednesday (March 9).

Paul San Miguel, Public Information Office (PIO) chief, said Santos was very thankful to Aguilar for all the support given to the local police in order to maintain peace and order in the city.

San Miguel said Aguilar was also happy with the plaque of recognition she received from Santos and for remembering her on the International Women’s Month.

Santos, for his part, said that more than half of the firearms used by the 400-strong local police were issued by the city government.

He said Aguilar also provided the police with patrol cars, computers for their offices, and other incentives.

Aguilar, on the other hand, said the city government will provide all the needs of the local police in making Las Pinas a better place to live in.
