H&M unveils new Edition by collection made of organic and recycled materials

The third iteration from the Edition by collection of H&M is here and it does not disappoint. Consisting of 26 pieces in total, the collection celebrates the power of personal expression through utilitarian pieces made of organic and recycled materials as well as pioneering all-natural dyes. 

“The starting point for each Edition collection is to challenge and innovate within our sustainability work. One of the keys this season was to include natural and plant base dyeing techniques. Classic menswear pieces, the great outdoors and utility references are combined to create a modern look that we are very proud of,” shares Ross Lydon, head of menswear design at H&M. 

Merging elements of utility wear, gorpcore, and street, the designs champion aesthetics and functionality. The colors of the pieces are derived from a pioneering technique using plant extracts, clays, bio-resins, and natural enzymes creating colors without the use of harsh chemicals which is in line with the brand’s efforts towards circularity. 

Stand-out pieces include knit pique shirts, multi-pocketed print trousers, boiler suits, and loose-fitting check overshirts.
