GCash & TNG Wallet partner for HK OFW remittance service


To serve overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families better, mobile wallet, GCash teamed up with TNG Wallet, a P2P mobile remittance app in Hong Kong.

"We are continuously adding new leading remittance partners to the app’s network so GCash users can now have access to TNG Wallet and more to come,” announced GCash AVP for International Remittance Jules Abalos.

With just a few taps on their mobile phone, Filipino migrants in Hong Kong can now send money directly to recipients’ GCash Wallet via the TNG Wallet app.

Both apps can be downloaded for free on Google Play or the App Store.

"We are very excited to introduce this digital remittance solution for OFWs in Hong Kong as we share the same goal of providing safe, fast, and seamless digital financial solutions for customers withTNG Wallet," GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon said.

On the GCash app, OFWs can also pay for their Social Security System contributions via the Pay Bills feature.

Furthermore, they can access financial services, such as GInsure for insurance packages, GInvest for investments in stocks and bonds, and GSave to manage their savings.

OFWs can download the GCash app on Google Play or App Store and register an account, provided they have an active and roaming Philippine SIM card.

Through the GCash App, customers can purchase prepaid airtime; pay bills at over 1.3k partner billers; send and receive money anywhere in the Philippines, even to other bank accounts.

They can purchase from over 4.5M partner merchants and social sellers; cash-in and cash-out at over 170k partner agents; and get access to savings, credit, insurance and invest money from their smartphones.
