PDEA arrests 3 drug 'pushers' in QC buy-bust

Anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Monday evening, Feb. 28 three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspects as Edgar Mayo, 52, Bryan Monterde, 33, and Milan Yaba, 46.

With information from their assets, the teams from the PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (RO-NCR) and Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station-13 nabbed the suspects at around 8 p.m. in San Vicente Compound Brookside, Barangay Silangan.

The raiding team seized more or less 10 grams of shabu, another five grams of shabu in heat- sealed plastic sachets, Huawei smartphone, assorted drug paraphernalia and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

Mayo, Monterde and Yaba face charges for violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
