Pangasinan shortens curfew hours under Alert Level 1

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan -- The provincial government of Pangasinan has shortened the curfew hours being imposed to 12 midnight - 4 a.m as the province transitioned to Alert Level 1 from March 1 to 15.

Governor Amado Espino III on Monday, Feb. 28, signed and issued Executive Order (EO) 0015-2022 on the Implementing Guidelines on Alert Level 1 in the province of Pangasinan.

“It is necessary to promulgate guidelines on the implementation of Alert Level 1 in Pangasinan, in accordance with the Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System For COVID-19 Response (Alert Level System Guidelines) currently in force and pertinent issuances of the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) and other government agencies,” Espino said.

He added that all private offices and workplaces may operate at 100 percent capacity, consistent with national issuances on vaccination requirements for on-site work. Agencies and instrumentalities of the government shall adhere to 100 percent on-site workforce.

All component local government units (LGUs) shall ensure unhampered movement of all types of goods and cargoes.

Public transportation shall be at full seating capacity, provided that if the point of origin or destination has a higher alert level classification and prescribes a lower seating capacity, the latter shall prevail. Land-based transport terminals are to ensure compliance with sanitary standards, among others.

Espino said individuals who are 18 years and above are required to present proof of full vaccination before participating in mass gatherings or entry into indoor establishments.

The provincial chief executive also urged component LGUs in the province to implement granular lockdowns to prevent a surge that could affect the entire province.
