Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano reminded city residents to continue to follow the local health protocol called the EMI Habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must, and Implement physical distancing) plus the 15-minutes interaction with proper ventilation as the National Capital Region (NCR) shifted to Alert Level 1 from March 1 to 15.
Tthe City Health Office (CHO) and the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that out of the 201 barangays in the city, only 12 remain to have active COVID-19 cases.
Rubiano said that under the new alert system, operational capacity is already at 100 percent following the local health protocols being implemented by the city government to prevent the spread of the virus.
The mayor said that of the 12 barangays with COVID-19 cases, Barangays 183 and 13 remain with 3 and 2 active cases, respectively.
Rubiano said the city recorded five new cases, bringing the city’s total active cases to 15 and zero deaths on Feb. 28.
She said the CHO also recorded eight new recoveries, bringing the total to 28,192 or 98 percent since the start of the pandemic.
