Baler's Police Surfer Force saves two tourists from drowning

The Aurora First Provincial Mobile Force Company saved two local tourists from drowning along Sabang Beach, Baler, Aurora on Monday, Feb. 28.

Patrolmen Clint Q. Avellaneda and Ruel S. Viernes of the Police Surfer Force (PSF) rescued Mervin Mallari, 26, and Gilbert Mallari, 26, both from Arayat, Pampanga, who were seen in the water being hit by strong waves.

The two police surfers saved the victims from drowning and brought them for first aid procedures to the Aurora Station Health Unit (SHU) where they were attended to by Ssg. Reabelle Aragoncillo.

The victims were immediately brought to Premiere General Hospital in Aurora by the Aurora Tourist Police Unit and MDRRMO Baler. PCADG Police Community Affairs and Development Group Central Luzon reported that both are now recovering.
