'Unbothered' Toni Gonzaga ignites viral memes

Toni Gonzaga received mixed reactions hosting the UniTeam's proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on Tuesday, Feb. 8.

Note that the UniTeam is composed of Presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., Vice Presidential bet Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, senatorial candidates re-electionist Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Juan Miguel Zubiri, former senator and representative of Antique Loren Legarda, former senator Gringo Honasan, former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, Sagip party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, and lawyer Larry Gadon.

Several funny memes have gone viral all featuring the seasoned TV host-actress-singer.

One read: "Relate na relate si Toni kay BBM kasi pinortray na niya dati. Toni as Teddie na pineke lang ang master's degree at hindi naman talaga teacher sa Spain kasi nga di naman talaga magaling. (hot face emoji)."

Another added: "Four Sisters and A Wedding is still relevant talaga no? Teddie as the liar and insecure. And so as Toni the enabler. Bobbie who left for her dreams. Bea leaving ABSCBN for GMA. Alex as barda queen but Angel in real life. Gabbie who stayed to nurse her family (Shaina on ABSCBN)."

On the other hand, a side-by-side photo of Toni at UniTeam's event and Iza Calzado speaking in support for the Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan tandem also trended online.

"Tama na pinili ni Marco si Patty over Ginny!," the text read, referring to Toni's "Starting Over Again" film along with Piolo Pascual.

Other online users then deemed Toni as "My Amnesia Girl."

According to some, the latter already forgot what she said during ABS-CBN layoff, which is: “Sa lahat ng nasa posisyon ngayon, hindi namin makakalimutan ang ginawa n'yo sa mga trabahador ng ABS-CBN."

Note that this tweet also went viral: "Toni Gonzaga, one of ABS-CBN's biggest celebrities, introduces Rodante Marcoleta who pushed to deny the franchise renewal of the network costing thousands of Kapamilya workers their jobs."

Of course, there are those who praised and applauded Toni for the same.

Just because your political bias is not her bias doesn't mean you are in the position to cancel her. Let people choose who to support and who to vote. You may cancel Toni Gonzaga several times, but you can't still drag her down because what makes her stand out is her family. You are just making her more popular. SHE'S NOT TONI GONZAGA FOR NOTHING!
